Our aim is to facilitate and pass on knowledge of animal welfare and care to enable successful pet ownership. People involved will have an opportunity to increase their self esteem and a sense of personal competence. They will experience new interactions and relationships with animals and people.
Karen has looked after chickens for over 12 year and is aware of good practice and animal husbandry. She has rescued 18 month chickens that are at their commercial production end and need some extra care.
Our pets are valued members of our family and caring for them improves my mood, and gives me a sense of purpose to my life.
I have been a carer in my past for a respite home for the senile and dementia service users and see the therapy benefits of using animals.
